  I did all of my certifications (Open Water and Advanced) through this shop - the instructors are knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend this shop to everyone. The staff are personable and flexible - especially for working people who need to need to stop in during the evening. It's easily accessible from Brooklyn as well since it is right over the Verrazano.
  
  In addition to completing my certifications through Treshers, I purchased all of my equipment here. They gave me better prices than all of their competitors (online and local) and regularly service my equipment. I also rent tanks from them on a regular basis throughout the Summer - high quality and reliable products. Before I purchased my regulator and weights from Treshers, I would also rent a reg and weights with the tanks.
  
  My mother also purchased all of her equipment here and completed her Advanced certification through Treshers. The owner personally worked with her to meet all of her needs for a BCD.
  
  My best friend also completed a Discover Dive through Treshers at Dutch Springs - she had a great experience.
